Well, here it is! Feel free to comment. We’re still under construction here as of September 2008. Your thoughts are most welcome.
What is Taoism?
That differs among people! For me, it is about perception. That deeply affects the life we live. Accordingly, CenterTao focuses on the how, what, and why we think what we think. (See: The Why and What of Taoist Thought)
Speaking of thinking, the Tao Te Ching cautions us that: "One who knows does not speak; one who speaks does not know." Read more…

I like it so far. It’s simpler and more peaceful looking for some reason. I haven’t tried to find anything specific yet but if I have trouble I’ll just remember that everything is temporary, change is constant, you are not even the same person you were a minute ago….
Congrats, Luke and Carl.
Hi Lynn, some time no hear, no see. I too like what Luke has done. It feels simpler and more peaceful, like you say. Just need to fix a few ‘404s’, and tweek things here and there and start writing again I guess… It has been kind of nice not writing. Wouldn’t it be ironic if after getting this new site up I gave up writing? Nah… I’ll probably only do that once I give up thinking. Now, wouldn’t that be peaceful!
Hello there, ooo we like it! Yes we do.
Well done you clever Abbotts.

Give up thinking? When we give up breathing. Hearts gotta beat, lungs gotta breathe, brains gotta think.
My thoughts kind of go around in circles and then shoot off on tangents, so reading the coherent thoughts written here is a nice change of pace for me.
I haven’t written much because I haven’t got much to say. That’s pretty nice in a physical reality, but on the Internet makes one kind of invisible!
Hey Laurence, are you doing a Gollum imitation? “You clever hobbits.”
Luke: here’s a problem. When I submitted my 2nd posting (and this one), I had to fill in my name and email again. I got an error “please fill the required fields (name, email).”
I didn’t have to do it with the first posting.
Hey Lynn,
If i was doing a Gollum imitation it would have been
“clever Abbotts-iz” haha!
I say there gents, i was wondering how these Blog comments will be used in the future.. here we are at the moment kinda having a conversation which you perhaps envisaged being more of a forum type thing.. hmmm Blog and Forum have issued forth under different names.. yet im wondering where Forum style discussions about Blogs will be best placed. Perhaps you’re happy to let it take its own shape, but as we move forward and blogs/posts are submitted i wouldn’t mind a getting a little more guidance.
Luke has been trying to nudge me to switch from posting on the forum to blogging for ages. I imagine one advantage is that this will ‘free up’ the forum.
I suppose the idea here is that the Blog part is where I toss out my observations. Anyone who wishes can comment there of course, but also perhaps feel freer to toss out something of their own on the forum. A forum allows for a more even exchange of ideas (more conducive to discussion), whereas a blog is heavily weighted towards the blogger’s (my) thoughts.
So, that’s how it looks to me today anyway. I look at this whole endeavor as an experiment. That way, what ever happens, happens for the best. Hmm, that’s not a bad way to look at life in general. I’ve always thought that if Nature had a thinking mind, it would say, “Relax, I’m just experimenting”.
Hello there, ooo we like it! Yes we do.
Well done you clever Abbotts.
