Solving Problems and Shooting Ourselves in the Foot
The more aggressive we try to solve problems, the more problems we create downstream. Thus balance may lie more in the direction of dissolving the problem at its perceptual origin than solving it. Problems are really a symptom of desire, and not some external reality. We are driven to 'see' problems as external phenomenon and struggle to fix them. There's Nature’s little hoodwink again. Our willful innovative attempts to solve problems is one of the more dangerous hallmarks of humanity, and we end up shooting ourselves in the foot… ouch! The final irony is, that while Nature has no problem in its own right, many of us feel we are nature's problem.
